We love working for Greenwich Parent Voice and want to share it with you.
Greenwich Parent Voice is managed by Joanne Delap and Vivien Davies. Jo has a son with Aspergers and a daughter with ADHD both at University. Viv has a daughter with complex needs who attends a local school for special needs.
Viv and Jo have many years' experience in the local area working on SEND issues and formerly as participation representatives for decision-making with RBG children's services, local MPs and politicians, NHS managers, SENCOs in schools across Greenwich as well as the leadership and family support teams in Charlton Park Academy and Willow Dene school (special schools in the borough). They continue to collaborate informally with all of the above and provide insight on parents' needs gathered from years of conversations and opinion-seeking activities.
Both Jo and Viv are unpaid volunteers who work to make life easier for Greenwich SEND parents.
GPV reaches across the borough to every social and ethnic group, age and carer. Our members are parents of children with disabilities and special needs from those that are less visible to profound and complex and everything in between, with or without a diagnosis. This includes specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia. We know that our differences are our strength and our children are our common bond.
We like to initiate programs that directly benefit parents, get in touch if you have an idea and we will try and make it happen.
GPV does not carry marketing for other companies, we never use or give out our members' info for 3rd party marketing and we protect our members' privacy.
