Your son/daughter will be in very safe hands. All of the staff who are working on this summer programme are either employed by Shooters Hill Campus or by Nash College. As such they may know your son or daughter or will anyway be very experienced in working with young people with a variety of LDD. All staff have an enhanced DBS, have training in safeguarding, epilepsy awareness and administering of medication including; Epipen and BUCCAL. We have first aid trained staff on site and where required a nurse will also be available.
Where we do not already know your child/young person and their support needs are more complex, it is likely that one of our staff will arrange a face to face meeting with you to make sure we have all of the information we need in advance of the summer programme starting.
Some of the activities will be on site and some off site. Activities may include;
Arts and Crafts
Music – Including a drumming workshop
As well as trips to the Park, the farm, eagle heights, bowling and more.
Please note that activities and trips are subject to change but a full activity schedule will be available in advance upon request.
