Greenwich Parent Voice

GPV meets the Bishop of Woolwich

Joanne Delap, Josephine Tontoh and Vivien Davies met with the Rt Revd Dr Woyin Karowei Dorgu today at the offices of the Diocese of Southwark. We spoke about the Embracing Diversity project and how to communicate the message of love and acceptance of all God's children, to parents and carers of children with special needs.

It was really good to explore together how to further our goals, as we look to educate parents and their church leaders. We're working on developing a programme of communication and conversation which we believe will transform the lives of BMAE families of children with special needs.

Helping us achieve this is Hugh Ridsdill-Smith, Consultant for the Diocese of Southwark and Mike Leader, the Greenwich Borough Dean. The Bishop of Woolwich will be hosting a parents coffee morning for us at a school in Thamesmead in July. Check our diary pages or sign up as member up GPV for updates on the date and venue.
